The Department of Bodo is an integral part of the college which has been making its best efforts not only for the student’s but also for the development of the college. The department of Bodo takes several development initiatives like course plan, group discussion, seminars and extension activities etc. The department always wants to keep friendly relations between teachers and students. The faculties of the Bodo department always encourage and guide students in every way in maintaining their duties and responsibilities. There are some provisions in the department like remedial class, reading materials for the slow learners and also opportunities to develops their creative talents through writing articles in the Departmental wall magazine etc. The status of the Bodo Department are 1996 - Establishment of the college, 2004-Recognition of Bodo (M.I.L.) in Degree Course, 2005-Affiliation, 2010-Permission of Elective Bodo, 2023-Permission of Major in Bodo, 2014-Department was brought under deficit grant in aid system by govt. of Assam. There are 15 intact capacity in Bodo Honours.
